WELLSPRING FARM RECEIVES MBHP CERTIFICATION
Effective April 20, 2010, the Wellspring Farm Learning Center was approved to participate in the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP) provider network to provide outpatient services as a "group practice." We have been assigned a "provider number" and all agreements have been signed and executed. Jim Vogel has also been credentialed as a therapist within the group and can invoice individually accordingly.

It is a great honor and accomplishment to have satisfied the credentialing requirements for this program and the demands for our services at the WFLC will increase. Contracts have already been put into place previously with many human service organizations within our on-going efforts in providing services. This honor helps to solidify our permanent place within the human services arena.

Established in 1996, the MBHP was contracted by MassHealth to manage mental health services for MassHealth members. MBHP provides healthcare services to more than 350,000 members; more than half are children age 18 or younger. 20,000 children are in foster placement or in custody of the Department of Children and Families. MBHP is the largest health plan in the Commonwealth.

ANIMALS & THEIR ANGEL VOICES A SUCCESS

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our May fundraising event, Animals & Their Angel Voices. You continue to make Wellspring a haven for our students with your generosity. Several photographers helped capture the event for us . . .

Special thanks to Dawn Carr, C.Ht., internationally renowned psychic medium, who verbalized the hidden charms of our extraordinary animals through their untold stories about how perfectly suited each one is to serving the special needs individuals on our farm. She also described the grounds as a restorative, healing place. Truly amazing!

Special thanks to Michael Higgins, performance chainsaw artist and creator of our Magic Woodland, who carved three incredible works that kept us guessing from start to finish. A lighthouse on a rocky crag, a pair of cozy cardinals and two frogs with one set in a hollow were the highlight of the raffle event.

In addition, we appreciate all of our volunteers, who generously donated their time, to greet, satisfy and delight our guests with food, coffee and desserts, as well as Reiki and Therapeutic Chair Massage.
